This January 2025, Madrid will become the nerve centre of world tourism at the 45\u1d49 edition of FITUR <\/a>(Feria Internacional de Turismo). This internationally renowned trade fair, to be held from 22 to 26 January at IFEMA Madrid, will bring together professionals, organisations and destinations from all walks of life to promote innovation, sustainable development and trends in the tourism industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Strategic Platform for the Tourism Industry<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With more than 9,000 exhibiting companies, 152 countries represented, and an expected influx of nearly 250,000 visitors in 2024, FITUR has established itself as a must-attend event for establishing partnerships, discovering the latest innovations and strengthening tourism promotion strategies. The show is also a unique opportunity to redefine the sector’s priorities, taking into account global challenges such as sustainability and technological innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brazil <\/a>will be the official partner country this year, a recognition that highlights its leading role in global tourism and its commitment to sustainability. With its natural, cultural and gastronomic diversity, Brazil will take advantage of this showcase to strengthen its relations with other global players and promote its emblematic destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the organisers of FITUR, this partnership “will enable Brazil to raise its international profile while underlining the importance of Latin America as a driving force in the tourism industry”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latin America at the forefront<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Latin American and Caribbean pavilions promise to be among the liveliest and most attractive at FITUR 2025. Some twenty countries, including Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina and the Dominican Republic, will be showcasing their exceptional tourism offerings, with the presence of numerous regional tourist offices. These stands will showcase a rich cultural heritage, breathtaking natural landscapes and unique immersive experiences, demonstrating the diversity and appeal of this region to travellers from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strong representation reflects the growing importance of Latin America in global tourism. In 2024, the region recorded significant growth in tourist flows, driven by emblematic destinations such as Machu Picchu, Canc\u00fan and the beaches of the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
