From March 2025, the river will be the backdrop for a unique river tourism experience. This project promises not only a top-of-the-range journey, but also an authentic immersion in the beauty of this mythical river, a journey where nature, history and local communities intertwine to create a unique experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amawaterways.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AmaWaterways<\/a>, one of the world&#8217;s leading river cruise operators, has developed this new initiative with two luxury vessels built in Cartagena de Indias: the Amamagdalena and the AmaMelodia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Amamagdalena<\/strong> will set sail <strong>on 15 March<\/strong> and will be the first cruise ship to operate on the waters of the Magdalena River, with <strong>a capacity of 60 passengers<\/strong>. The ship will offer guests gourmet restaurants, spacious suites and wellness areas. In addition to its facilities, it has been designed with sustainability in mind, to minimise its impact on the environment and allow travellers to enjoy the natural beauty of the region in a responsible manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second ship, the AmaMelodia, will begin operations on 4 June 2025.
