Argentina and Chile<\/strong> are working together to develop the Ruta del Fuego<\/strong> (Route of Fire<\/em>), a cross-border tourism initiative aimed at making Tierra del Fuego<\/strong> a world-class tourist destination. This bi-national route aims to improve accessibility, stimulate economic growth and enhance the region’s appeal to visitors from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mariano Ignacio Plencovic, Argentina’s Under-Secretary for Motor Transport<\/strong>, announced the creation of the 1,800-kilometre route<\/strong>, which will take travellers on a nine-day, eight-night journey across Tierra del Fuego, passing through the main border crossings from San Sebasti\u00e1n<\/em> to Bellavista<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, which began two years ago, is the result of a coordinated effort between the Chilean consulate in R\u00edo Grande, the local chamber of commerce and the provincial government, with the support of the Fuegian Tourism Institute<\/a>. The initiative aims to boost tourism by improving infrastructure<\/strong>, simplifying administrative procedures, particularly for border crossings for operators and visitors<\/strong>, and benefiting the local commercial, hotel and gastronomic sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just a tourism project, this important step towards regional integration aims to promote sustainable development while offering travellers a unique experience, combining history, culture and breathtaking landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
