The Andean Community (CAN<\/mark><\/a>) has just unveiled \u201c<\/strong>Caminos Andinos<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>,\u201d<\/strong> a platform that positions <\/strong>Bolivia<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>, Colombia<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>Ecuador<\/strong><\/mark><\/a>, and <\/mark>Peru <\/strong><\/mark><\/a>as a major multi-destination tourism region. Through 16 itineraries and 42 destinations<\/strong>, the project connects the coast, Andes, and Amazon, offering a blend of culture, nature, gastronomy, and heritage. <\/p>\n\n

The site showcases iconic destinations such as Machu Picchu<\/strong>, the Uyuni Salt Flats, Cotopaxi National Park,<\/strong> and the Lost City<\/strong>. It also highlights lesser-known areas with landscapes and experiences that can refresh the regional tourism offer: the Andean Choc\u00f3 and Central Andes in Ecuador, the Amazonas, San Mart\u00edn, and Ayacucho<\/strong> regions in Peru, and the Altiplano and central valleys in Bolivia.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Special emphasis is placed on major festivals and popular traditions, such as the Oruro Carnival<\/strong> or the Ichapequene Piesta <\/strong>in San Ignacio de Mojos (Bolivia), which enrich the cultural programming and attract travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path combined circuits.<\/p>\n\n

The content is organized into sections (culture, nature, crafts, ancestral communities), with a dedicated area for Andean cuisine \u2013 an increasingly popular attraction among international visitors. <\/p>\n\n

Economic and regional impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Tourism represents an average of 2% of the GDP of each Andean Community country and generates over 3.8 million jobs, mainly within micro and small enterprises. With this initiative, governments hope to extend the length of stays and increase spending on tourism<\/strong> services to strengthen the local economy. <\/p>\n\n

Other experiences in Latin America show that this type of platform yields results: SOSTUR<\/mark><\/a> in Panama<\/strong>, focused on community tourism, and Feel Brasil<\/mark><\/a>, which promotes integrated experiences across the country, have already proven effective. \u201cCaminos Andinos\u201d follows this trend, enhancing the region\u2019s digital visibility and presence in international markets. <\/p>\n\n
