Puerto Iguaz\u00fa<\/strong> has taken an important step toward international openness with the launch of Visit Iguaz\u00fa LGBT+<\/strong><\/a>. Presented in Buenos Aires at the Gnetwork360 <\/strong><\/a>conference<\/strong>, the project brings together the Iguaz\u00fa Municipal Tourism Entity<\/strong> (ITUREM<\/a>) and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Tourism<\/strong><\/a>. It offers a comprehensive showcase of the region, with unique experiences such as the possibility of celebrating weddings in the heart of nature and a selection of service providers trained to welcome travelers in an inclusive environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A guide designed for diversity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Designed as a virtual guide, Visit Iguaz\u00fa LGBT+<\/strong> brings together information on nature, gastronomy, hotels, cultural activities, and nightlife, complemented by an annual calendar of events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the presentation, ITUREM President<\/strong> Leopoldo Lucas<\/strong> emphasized that \u201cthe LGBT+ segment is not only of great economic importance to tourism, it also demands services that meet standards of quality, exclusivity, safety, and authenticity. It is our responsibility as a destination to live up to these expectations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Diversity Department of Puerto Iguaz\u00fa also participated in the creation of this platform, which aims to make the city the second LGBT+ destination in the country<\/strong>, just behind Buenos Aires<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weddings and civil unions in the heart of nature<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Iguaz\u00fa stands out for its unique offering: the possibility for foreign couples to get married in iconic natural sites. Provincial regulations allow civil unions and marriages for non-residents in places such as the Iguaz\u00fa Falls<\/strong>, the Mocon\u00e1 Falls<\/strong>, or the Salto Encantado<\/strong>. Ceremonies can be held at lookout points, in national parks, or even on boats. This opportunity paves the way for tourist packages combining accommodation, wedding planning, and jungle activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program also includes the Todxs Bienvenidxs<\/strong> (Everyone is Welcome<\/em>) distinction, awarded to hotels, restaurants, agencies, and operators that guarantee a respectful and non-discriminatory welcome. Participating establishments commit to training their staff and collaborating with public and private actors to continuously improve the quality of the experience offered to travelers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cultural offering all year round<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Visit Iguaz\u00fa LGBT+ is accompanied by an annual program that enhances the destination’s appeal. Diversity Week<\/strong> (November 24-29), pride marches<\/strong>, and numerous artistic events\u2014cinema, theater, concerts\u2014are all on the calendar. The goal is to offer stays that combine nature discovery and an active cultural life, in all seasons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this platform, Iguaz\u00fa is no longer content to be just a gateway to the famous falls: the city is asserting its identity as an inclusive destination, capable of combining nature, culture, and hospitality for an international audience seeking authentic and respectful experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
