Conceived as a long-term roadmap, the document aims to strengthen destinations with high potential, organise tourism growth, and position the country along a path aligned with regional and international trends. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A nationally grounded framework shaped through broad consultation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Presented under the leadership of <strong>President Bernardo Ar\u00e9valo<\/strong>, the Plan reaffirms the role of tourism as an economic and social driver. It was developed by the Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) following an unprecedented nationwide consultation process. International arrivals are expected to increase from approximately 2.4 million visitors in 2024 to between 4.6 and 4.7 million by 2036. Tourism revenues are projected to grow by around 290%, exceeding USD 4.7 billion over the period.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Domestic tourism is also identified as a priority, with anticipated impacts in<strong> terms of job creation<\/strong> and <strong>the expansion of tourism offerings into new protected areas and lesser-visited territories<\/strong>. Selon <strong>ONU Tourisme<\/strong>, l\u2019Am\u00e9rique centrale constitue actuellement <strong>le sous-ensemble \u00e0 la croissance la plus rapide du continent<\/strong>, port\u00e9e notamment par <strong>le Guatemala<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/visit-latin-america.com\/p\/el-salvador\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">le Salvador<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/visit-latin-america.com\/p\/panama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">le Panama<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>.
