In a state that welcomes around 20 million visitors each year, more than 500,000 arrive with a specific objective: to dive. In this context, the government of Quintana Roo has launched the Mexican Caribbean Diving Guide<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, a tool designed to organize, structure, and enhance one of the destination\u2019s most specialized \u2014 and most profitable \u2014 segments. The stated ambition is clear: to strengthen the positioning of the Mexican Caribbean as an international benchmark for underwater tourism<\/strong>, beyond the traditional sun-and-beach image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The publication highlights the state\u2019s marine wealth <\/strong>and its vast cenote systems<\/strong>, while aligning with a broader strategy: diversifying the offer, encouraging longer stays, and increasing economic benefits for local territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A tool to plan the underwater experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the presentation, Tourism Secretary Bernardo Cueto Riestra<\/strong> emphasized that the guide was developed with the participation of diving pioneers, underwater photographers, and specialists based in Quintana Roo<\/strong>, in coordination with the State Tourism Promotion Council and hotel associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Available in print (initial run of 1,000 copies) and digital formats<\/mark><\/a>, the guide compiles technical and descriptive information to organize both sea and freshwater dives, taking into account certification levels and the specific features of each site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
