The Spanish airline <strong>will operate two daily flights between Geneva Airport and its Madrid-Barajas hub<\/strong>, giving Swiss travellers and cross-border passengers new access to its international network, particularly to Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geneva will become <strong>Air Europa\u2019s second destination in Switzerland<\/strong> after <strong>Zurich<\/strong>, which is already linked to the Spanish capital with two daily frequencies. With this new route, the airline expects to offer <strong>more than 260,000 seats per year in Geneva<\/strong>, bringing its total capacity in Switzerland to more than half a million annual seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Two daily flights between Geneva and Madrid<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The service will operate year-round. From Geneva, flights will depart at 11:00 and 18:20, arriving in Madrid at 12:55 and 20:15. In the opposite direction, departures are scheduled at 08:00 and 15:35, with arrival in Geneva at 09:55 and 17:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Geneva (GVA) \u2013 Madrid (MAD)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flight UX1664: <strong>GVA <\/strong>11:00 \u2013 <strong>MAD <\/strong>12:55<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flight UX1666: <strong>GVA <\/strong>18:20 \u2013 <strong>MAD <\/strong>20:15<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Madrid (MAD) \u2013 Geneva (GVA)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flight UX1663: <strong>MAD <\/strong>08:00 \u2013 <strong>GVA <\/strong>09:55<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flight UX1665: <strong>MAD <\/strong>15:35 \u2013 <strong>GVA <\/strong>17:30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The flights will be operated with <strong>Boeing 737-800<\/strong> aircraft, which Air Europa uses on its short- and medium-haul routes, with capacity suited for both passenger and cargo transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expanded access to Latin America and the Caribbean<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The value of this new route goes beyond the connection with Spain alone. From Madrid, <strong>Air Europa currently serves 20 direct destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean<\/strong>, with around 96 weekly frequencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the Caribbean, the airline serves Havana, Canc\u00fan, Punta Cana, Santiago de los Caballeros and <a href=\"https:\/\/visit-latin-america.com\/en\/5-reasons-to-fall-in-love-with-santo-domingo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Santo Domingo<\/a>, with the frequency of flights to the latter two destinations set to increase for the 2026 summer season (June\u2013September) to 3 and 11 weekly services respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Central America, Air Europa offers direct services to <a href=\"https:\/\/visit-latin-america.com\/en\/panama-city-a-crossroads-of-cultures-and-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Panama City<\/a> with one daily flight, as well as to San Pedro Sula in Honduras with three weekly flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">South America represents the densest part of the regional network.
