ALAS Global Tour – Pedasí, Panama (July 31 to August 3)
The most prestigious professional surfing championship in the region, organized by the Latin American Association of Professional Surfers (ALAS), brings together athletes from across the continent to compete and earn points in the 2024-2025 ALAS Global Tour circuit. After the fifth stage (July 19 to 24) in Bocas del Toro, the Panamanian Pacific coast is ready to host the next event. It will take place on Venao Beach, in Pedasí, a coastal town already considered one of the favorite spots for surfing. The event, rated 4 stars for all categories (with 4-star prizes for the Open and 1-star for the others), will then continue in Nicaragua (August 21-24), Costa Rica (August 28-31), and Brazil (September 18-21).

Feria de las Flores – Medellín, Colombia (August 1 to 10)
Considered the most important event in the “City of Eternal Spring,” the Flower Fair has more than 60 years of history and is expected to welcome over 300,000 visitors in 2025. For ten days, more than 310 public and private events are scheduled: concerts, fondas (spaces recreating the traditional ambiance of Antioquia villages), and trova competitions (improvised popular songs).
But the most anticipated moment remains the Silleteros Parade, where flower growers carry spectacular floral arrangements on their backs! This year, 535 silleteros will parade through the city streets once again, and their creations will remain on display at Plaza Mayor until August 12.
Feria Agostina – Puerto Cortés, Honduras (August 2 to 24)
Puerto Cortés, the main port on Honduras’ Atlantic coast, dedicates nearly a month to honoring the Virgin of the Assumption with a rich cultural, sporting, and gastronomic program. The festivities begin on August 2 with the election of the Fair Queen and conclude with the famous Venetian Night, a nighttime show in the bay where illuminated boats parade across the water, accompanied by music, lights, and fireworks. It is the most anticipated event on the local festive calendar, a tradition that gathers families and visitors on the waterfront in a dazzling display of color and emotion.
Meet Up Argentina – Buenos Aires, Argentina (August 6 to 7)
Buenos Aires becomes the epicenter of meetings tourism in Latin America. This annual gathering, organized by AOCA (Argentine Association of Organizers and Suppliers of Exhibitions, Congresses, Events, and Convention Bureaus), brings together leaders in the MICE sector to exchange ideas, close business deals, and learn about the latest trends. The program includes business rounds, training sessions, exhibition spaces, and dedicated areas for innovation, sustainability, and digitalization in hospitality.

Petronio Álvarez Festival – Cali, Colombia (August 13 to 18)
Every August, Cali dedicates six days to celebrating the cultural traditions of the Colombian Pacific. This year, the festival’s 29th edition will feature groups from the departments of Nariño, Chocó, Cauca, and Valle del Cauca in categories such as marimba, chirimía, and Cauca violins.
Beyond the stage, the Petronio Álvarez venue offers a food fair, a craft market, and a space dedicated to Afro fashion.

The Realness Festival – São Paulo, Brazil (August 16)
Latin America’s biggest drag show returns with an edition that promises to be the most spectacular yet. The event will take place at Vibra São Paulo, a modern venue with a capacity of over 7,000 people, featuring premium zones, seating areas, and giant side screens for an immersive experience.
On stage: icons from RuPaul’s Drag Race such as Sasha Colby, Sasha Velour, Shea Couleé, Symone, Roxxxy Andrews, and Morphine Love Dion, alongside a strong national lineup including Grag Queen, Silvetty Montilla, and Ikaro Kadoshi, among more than 28 Brazilian performers. Produced by the Realness collective, the event blends music, performance, and queer activism, making it a key highlight on Brazil’s LGBTQIA+ cultural calendar.
Adidas Terrex Andes Race – Cusco, Peru (August 20 to 30)
In the heights of the Sacred Valley, runners from across the continent will take on the physical and symbolic challenge of following the ancient roads of Tahuantinsuyo during one of South America’s top trail running competitions. With distances of 13, 30, 60, and 100 km, the course runs along sections of the Inca Trail at altitudes between 2,800 and 4,200 meters.
For its 10th anniversary, more than 1,000 athletes are expected at the starting line. In addition to the race, the organization promotes community training sessions, technical talks, and environmental awareness campaigns in rural areas.
