Casa Colombia at the Paris Olympics: A Journey through Colombian Culture and Tourism

To coincide with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Colombia is creating a dedicated space, Casa Colombia, to promote its culture, tourism and economic opportunities. Located in the heart of the French capital, Casa Colombia aims to appeal to a broad international audience, highlighting the diversity and richness of the country.


 A Cultural and Economic Promotion Project

Inaugurated by President Gustavo Petro, Casa Colombia, located in the Parc de la Villette, is designed as a meeting place and a place of discovery, to highlight Colombia’s cultural and economic assets. The Colombian government has stressed the strategic importance of this event for the country.

 

An immersion in Colombian culture

Casa Colombia offers a rich and varied cultural programme, organised by the Colombian Ministry of Culture. Visitors can enjoy traditional music and dance performances, art and craft exhibitions, lectures and local culinary specialities. One of the highlights is the exhibition on the legend of El Dorado, which tells the fascinating story of this mythical quest.

Interactive stands and representatives from Colombia’s main tourist destinations, such as Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín, the coffee region and many others, give visitors an overview of the wonders the country has to offer. The aim is to reinforce Colombia’s image as a tourist destination of choice, rich in cultural and natural experiences.
