Located just a few minutes from Puerto Tranquilo, they are one of the most recognized attractions of the Southern Route.

Parc Nacional Queulat

Queulat National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Chilean Patagonia. With an area of more than 154,093 hectares, this park includes a temperate coastal rainforest, two ice fields and seven glaciers. Its mountains sink into the sea with eight magnificent rivers. One of its main attractions is the hanging glacier and the Témpanos lagoon.

Caleta Tortel

Built entirely on wooden walkways, it is one of the places with the highest tourist connotations in Chilean Patagonia, known for the incredible beauty of its architecture and the color of the waters of the Baker River. The rugged geography of the place has given rise to an incomparable landscape, characterized by a string of islands and channels, in addition to the presence of beautiful valleys and glaciers of different magnitude.

The history of the city dates back to 1520, when it was inhabited by the Kaweskar nomads, now extinct. Its definitive foundation dates back to 1955, after numerous attempts to populate the area dedicated mainly to the exploitation of the Guaitecas Cypress.
