Peru, a country of inexhaustible natural and cultural wonders, is launching its new international tourism promotion campaign, entitled “Perú Wow”. The aim of this initiative is to capture and share the essence of Peru, a country that never ceases to surprise and amaze its visitors.
“Perú Wow”: a tribute to Peruvian beauty
The “Perú Wow” campaign is a celebration of the country’s diversity and richness. It highlights emblematic sites such as Machu Picchu, the floating islands of the Uros, Kuélap, Choquequirao, the Amazon rainforest, the city of Arequipa, Lima’s Historic Centre and the Gocta cataract.
“Perú Wow appeals to the expression of astonishment, surprise and emotion that Peru arouses in its visitors, leaving us speechless and wanting to discover more of its places, experiences, culture and gastronomy”, said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Juan Carlos Mathews.
Promotional strategy and international impact
The campaign aims to reach a broad international audience, with promotional activities in key countries such as the United States, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France and Germany. It is characterised by an integral approach, combining advertising, events and collaborations with tourism influencers, to generate considerable impact and reinforce Peru’s image as a leading tourist destination.
Innovative and engaging storytelling
The campaign’s main clip, unveiled at the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) 2024 in Madrid, tells the fictional story of two astronauts who, from space, are dazzled by Peru’s landscapes and historic monuments. This original narrative symbolises Peru’s universal fascination, inviting viewers to enjoy their own unique experiences in the country.
