At a time when many destinations multiply promises of “unforgettable experiences,” Chile is taking a different path. With the international campaign “You Will See,” led by Marca Chile, the country seeks to move beyond postcard imagery and offer a narrative grounded in measurable facts, concrete achievements, and a forward-looking vision.
Rather than piling up superlatives, the campaign invites audiences to look at the country as it is today: a territory that combines extreme landscapes, scientific research, energy transition, and expanding creative industries.
A narrative that broadens the country’s image
The concept is built on tangible attributes. Chile highlights its regional leadership in renewable energy, its scientific development, skies among the most sought-after in the world for astronomical observation, and the international recognition of its talent.
Visually, the campaign connects vast open spaces — from the Atacama Desert to Patagonia — with scenes of research, production, and contemporary urban life. The objective is clear: to expand an image long reduced to spectacular landscapes and embed geographic diversity within a national identity in motion.

The international rollout began in January 2026, with digital, audiovisual, and urban outdoor placements in Madrid, New York City, São Paulo, and London. The choice of these cities is deliberate: they combine outbound tourism flows with strong media influence. While the campaign is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, the Spanish narration retains a distinctly Chilean accent, embracing a local voice rather than a neutralized tone.
Science and energy as drivers of attractiveness
One of the campaign’s central themes is energy transition. The country’s north hosts some of Latin America’s largest solar power plants, made possible by exceptional solar radiation levels. Chile is also advancing in green hydrogen development and decarbonization policies, placing energy at the core of its national narrative.
At the same time, the country has established itself as one of the world’s leading astronomy hubs. Nearly 40% of global optical astronomical observation capacity is concentrated in northern Chile, thanks to atmospheric stability, altitude, and low light pollution. These conditions have fostered the emergence of a structured astrotourism offering, with observatories open to the public and educational programs linking territory, science, and tourism experience.

A narrative framework serving travel design
Beyond institutional messaging, “You Will See” expands possibilities for structuring journeys. Stargazing in the north, wine and gastronomic routes in the central valley, cultural life in Santiago, exploration of Patagonian frontiers: the campaign articulates these dimensions within a single logic where nature, knowledge, and innovation coexist.
It also provides a visual and discursive framework that embassies, trade offices, and private stakeholders can adopt, reinforcing international communication consistency.
By choosing to rely on verifiable elements rather than abstract promises, Chile is making a measured bet. In a tourism market increasingly attentive to authenticity, impact, and credibility, this approach offers another way to present the country: not only as a spectacular backdrop, but as a nation where landscapes engage in dialogue with science, energy, and an identity in constant evolution.
