Bogota’s El Dorado airport, one of the busiest in Latin America and considered to be the best in South America, is also preparing for a significant expansion. This expansion project, which aims to increase the airport’s capacity by 8% to meet the growing demand for air traffic, should be completed before the end of 2025.

The expansion plan includes the construction of new runways, the extension of existing terminals, and improvements to services and infrastructure. These improvements will enable El Dorado airport to handle a greater number of flights and passengers, strengthening its position as a major air hub in Latin America.

These expansion projects at Cartagena and Bogota airports are crucial to Colombia’s economic and tourism development. By increasing their capacity and improving their infrastructure, these airports will play a key role in attracting international tourists and investors. These expansions are also essential to strengthen Colombia’s air connectivity with the rest of the world, facilitating business and leisure travel.
