Avianca has just announced another major step in the expansion of its network: the reactivation of the direct service between El Salvador and Panama. This initiative marks a strategic turning point for the airline, strengthening its presence and connectivity in the Central American region.

From 15 December 2023, passengers will be able to enjoy a daily frequency between these two key destinations, with an offer of more than 2,500 seats per week. This new route will be operated by Airbus A320s.

Flight schedule:

Flight AV 0317 : San Salvadore (11:50) to Panamá (14:40)

Flight AV 0316 : Panamá (15:35) to San Salvadore (16:35)

Alex Benitez, Avianca’s Vice President for Central America and the Andean region, stresses the importance of this route: “We are very pleased to be expanding our network of destinations and reactivating direct flights between Panama and El Salvador. This route is strategic for us, as it offers travellers easier access to tourism, business, culture and trade, while contributing to the country’s connectivity with the Central American region.

The new route is part of a wider expansion of Avianca’s network in El Salvador, which now includes additional routes to destinations such as Boston, Orlando, Cancun, Las Vegas, Madrid, Oakland and, with this reopening, a direct, non-stop connection between El Salvador and Panama.

With this new route, Avianca continues to demonstrate its commitment to facilitating travel throughout Latin America, not least this week’s entry into service of the connection between Cuzco and Tegucigalpa.
