New Agreement between SKY Airline, Air France and KLM: Increased Connectivity for Latin America and Europe
SKY Airline, Air France and KLM have signed an agreement that marks a significant milestone for connectivity between Europe and Latin America. The agreement will connect more than 30 destinations in Latin America, including Chile, Peru and other regions, to the airlines’ European hubs.
The agreement signed between SKY Airline, a low-cost Chilean airline, and European giants Air France and KLM aims to facilitate travel between Latin America and Europe. This strategic collaboration will offer passengers greater flexibility and seamless connections, simplifying the booking process and enhancing the travel experience.
Alvaro Romero, CEO of SKY Airline, said: “This agreement with Air France and KLM reinforces our commitment to offer more convenient and affordable travel options to our passengers. We are delighted to be able to expand our network and make it easier to travel between Latin America and Europe.”
Benefits for Passengers
One of the key benefits of this agreement is the ability for passengers to book a single ticket for flights including segments operated by SKY Airline, Air France and KLM. This means that passengers will be able to take advantage of connecting flights, without having to worry about reclaiming their baggage or rechecking in during connections.
Patrick Alexandre, Executive Vice President Commercial at Air France-KLM, said: “We are delighted to be working with SKY Airline. This agreement allows us to strengthen our presence in Latin America and offer our customers even more diverse travel options.”
Passengers will also have access to a greater number of destinations:
- In Chile: Antofagasta, Arica, Balmaceda, Calama, Castro, Concepción, Copiapó, Iquique, La Serena, Osorno, Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt, Puerto Natales, Temuco, and Valdivia.
- In Peru: Cusco, Arequipa, Trujillo, Juliaca, Piura, Ayacucho, Tumbes, Iquitos, Tarapoto, Pucallpa, and Jauja.
- In Argentina and Uruguay: Mendoza, Bariloche, and Montevideo
Commitment to Sustainable Development
Another important aspect of this agreement is the three airlines’ commitment to sustainable development. SKY Airline, Air France and KLM all have initiatives in place to reduce their carbon footprint and promote more sustainable travel practices. This agreement will pool these efforts and promote more environmentally friendly air travel.
Future prospects
This cooperation agreement represents an important step for SKY Airline, Air France and KLM. By strengthening their cooperation, these airlines are not only offering better connectivity between Europe and Latin America, but are also laying the foundations for future collaborations. Passengers can look forward to continued improvements in service, comfort and sustainability.
The partnership between SKY Airline, Air France and KLM is a major initiative that promises to transform travel between Latin America and Europe. By offering smoother connections, more flexible travel options and a commitment to sustainability, this agreement benefits both passengers and the economies of both regions.
