“¡Todo Cancún!”, a digital guide to better organize the tourism offer

Cancún aims to better structure how its tourism offer is experienced with ¡Todo Cancún!, an official digital guide that brings together cultural, sports, and urban activities in a single platform. The tool is designed to make information more accessible for both visitors and residents.

Beyond its practical function, the initiative is part of a broader strategy to rebalance visitor flows toward downtown, long overshadowed by the coastal hotel corridor.

A platform that organizes the tourism offer

The guide is structured around four main sections: culture, sports, tourism, and Distrito Cancún. It is available online and via QR codes, particularly along Avenida Nader in the historic founding district.

The platform brings together local cultural and sports information. The cultural section provides access to event listings and key venues, while the sports section features schedules from venues such as Estadio Andrés Quintana Roo, Estadio Cancún 86, Poliforum Benito Juárez, and Estadio Beto Ávila.

An interactive map allows users to locate nearby activities and services. The guide also includes a practical directory with emergency numbers, consular services, police, the Red Cross, and the Guest Assist program, designed to support visitors on site.

Downtown brought back into focus

The project also highlights downtown through the “Distrito Cancún” section, which presents a map of the founding district and its surroundings.

It features places such as Callejón del Canicazo, a passage linked to local history. Its name refers to workers who used to gather there at the end of the day, sharing drinks made with lemon and alcohol. The ice cubes, known as “canicas” due to the sound they made in glasses, are said to have inspired the name of the place.

The site also offers an original approach through comic-style content that retraces the development of the modern city. The aim is not to present a traditional historical narrative, but to show how Cancún has evolved over time.

A structured way to explore the city through itineraries

The tourism section organizes the destination into six thematic routes. Among them, Ruta del Sabor brings together culinary experiences ranging from traditional cuisine to contemporary restaurants in emerging areas.

Ruta ZOFU (Zona Fundacional) offers a journey through the city center, between theaters and urban art spaces. Ruta Cultura Maya connects sites such as the Museo Maya and the San Miguelito archaeological site.

Ruta Parques highlights natural areas such as Parque Kabah, known for its biodiversity, particularly birdlife. Ruta Caribe includes iconic public beaches such as Las Perlas and Delfines. Finally, Ruta Luxury gathers commercial areas and shopping centers featuring major international luxury brands.

With “¡Todo Cancún!”, the destination goes beyond providing information; it also seeks to shape how it is experienced. By structuring access to activities and giving greater visibility to urban spaces, Cancún offers a more complete vision of its territory, beyond the beachfront.
