Emirates and Colombia: an air bridge to new opportunities

From 3 June 2024, Emirates will operate daily flights between Dubai and Bogota, with a stopover in Miami, using Boeing 777-200LR and 777-300ER aircraft capable of carrying up to 354 passengers in three classes.


 A bridge between the Middle East and South America

In addition to improving air connectivity between the two countries, this initiative also aims to strengthen commercial, cultural and tourist relations between Colombia and the United Arab Emirates. The arrival of Emirates symbolises the growing interest in air travel between these two regions, underlining Colombia’s status as a destination of choice on the world stage.

Opening up to the world

The inclusion of Bogota in the Emirates network will greatly facilitate the arrival of international travellers, particularly from Asia, Africa and Oceania, with connections to key destinations such as mainland China, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Johannesburg, Cairo and Delhi. In addition, this route also enhances the offering for Colombian travellers and consolidates Bogotá’s status as a leading MICE hub in Latin America.

The announcement of Emirates’ arrival in Colombia is excellent news for the country’s tourism and economic sectors, promising a new chapter in the history of Colombian aviation and new opportunities for growth and development.
