From 13 to 16 October 2025, Chile will be hosting the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS). As host for the second time, the country is preparing for this annual event, which will bring together thousands of adventure tourism operators, professionals and experts from all over the world.
Patagonia: The soul of the summit
Puerto Natales, located in the heart of Patagonia, has been chosen as the main venue for this gathering, which promises to showcase the country’s natural wealth in all its splendour. From the stunning valleys of the Aysén region to the imposing mountains of the Andes, Chile has long been a destination of choice for adventure-seeking travellers. In fact, it has won the title of Best Adventure Destination at the World Travel Awards for ten years running.

What can we expect from ATWS 2025?
As well as providing an opportunity to explore the region’s tourism offering up close, the event is expected to stimulate the development of tourism infrastructure. It is important to note that over 59% of travellers choose Chile for its natural treasures and that 5.4% of them are attracted by adventure tourism activities, a clientele mainly from the European and American markets.
Highlights of the event will include conferences on innovative themes, round tables led by experts, a destination market for buyers and suppliers, an ‘Adventure Day’ showcasing the local offerings of the host destination, and the ‘MediaConnect’ session where content ideas will be presented to journalists and the international media.
Chile, with its exceptional geographical diversity, is a destination that offers unique experiences, and by hosting the Adventure Travel World Summit, the country is consolidating its status as a world benchmark in this segment. The event will provide an opportunity to take part in a range of activities, discover industry trends and, above all, enjoy an unforgettable experience.
