Laguna Lodge Tortuguero, Costa Rica

Perfectly located in the Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, Tortuguero is known as the main nesting site of the green turtle in the entire western hemisphere.

The turtle nesting season begins in early July and ends in late October, but August and September are the best months to observe turtle egg-laying.

“Due to our geographical location, we have the peculiarity of having the main canal called Lagunas del Tortuguero on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other, so our visitors have access to the beach of Tortuguero.  For the observation of these species, we offer one night walk during the season for an additional cost with an expert guide.  These turtles arrive on the beach during the night and early morning”.
